Contract Manufacturing Operator/ Coordinador de Maquila

Job Purpose

  • To support the Technical Relationship Manager (TRM) with activities related to the management and oversight of contract manufacturing operations in Mexico , contributing to the implementation and maintenance of all appropriate standards to support the effective delivery of products within the agreed specifications and parameters to achieve DPM&S goals. The CMO Technical Associate will support Technical Relationship Manager (TRM) with assessment, qualification and execution of new product introduction (NPI) / commercialization projects within the CMO sites, primarily located in Mexico. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders within the 5 CMO’s  (4 Manufacturers, 1 Warehouse operation) in order to become first point of contact for routine/regular contact between Dechra and CMO’s.
  • Establish and maintain regular contact with key stakeholders within Dechra including supply chain, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, product development and sales and marketing to support TRM in communication and managing relationships.
  • Support the TRM in planning and carrying out regular audits and site visits to CMO’s according to agreed schedule and processes.
  • Participate in Audit follow-up activity alongside Regulatory Affairs and Quality
  • Escalate any concerns, risks or issues that might impact upon supply performance or quality to TRM.
  • Undertake activities to support new product introduction (NPI) / commercialization projects (TT)  as directed by TRM. 
  • Raising, processing and following up Purchase Orders for the 5 CMO’s
  • Reviewing and approving CMO invoices, and monitoring expenses (warehousing, transportation, etc.)
  • Identify, understand, make recommendations and take appropriate actions to mitigate risk.
  • Interpreting local and industry trends and their impact on the CMO network.
  • Provide support to commercial bidding processes / quotations as required.
  • Maintenance of accurate data and provision of information (including preparation and delivery of presentations as required) to the Commercial team.
  • Following up warehouse activities (providing information to AWB, status of the PO’s, shipping dates, following up issues).
  • Absence cover for TRM to ensure continuity of essential activities.
