The Opportunity 

This brand new position will form a key part of the growth of our DVP International business unit and will be responsible for all International demand forecasting activities associated with Distribution partners and products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of unconstrained demand forecast models for DVP International, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance and external market data sources.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Demand Planner will act as a conduit between supply chain, finance and the commercial organisation.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

• Produce unconstrained demand forecasts across multiple customers and aggregate into an International consolidated demand plan
• Interact with sales, marketing and commercial finance to understand demand forecast drivers and improve forecast accuracy
• Produce and measure forecast accuracy
• Schedule and chair monthly forecast meetings with key customers in accordance with monthly timetable
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances between forecasts and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
• Update Business Managers and other key stakeholders about product availability in a timely manner
• Provide input to the business in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs
• Use and maintain demand planning system and software
• Work with supply chain to set inventory levels based on future customer demands
• Prepare, maintain and present where necessary relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process
• Review what’s changed from one forecast and to the next forecast. Present summary to senior teams from both commercial and supply for sign off

• Significant experience of Supply and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and proficiency in forecasting and forecasting methods
• Relevant working experience in a demand planning position within an international business
• Knowledge of Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning or other software related to demand planning is desirable
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Previous experience working with BI and data processing tools
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with strong attention to detail
