The Opportunity 

We have an opening for a Digital Learning Manager to join our growing Group Marketing function. Reporting into the Group Head of Communications, the successful candidate will work to own the development, implementation and monitoring of all aspects of Digital Learning for Dechra (both internal and external) in order to support the corporate brand and ensure that the business develops and maintains its competitive advantage.

Role Responsibility

The Challenge

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Lead the Digital Learning team (2 FTE) to develop and enhance Digital Learning for the Dechra Group
  • Manage the Digital Learning team in the development of new digital assets including eLearning courses, videos and graphics
  • Working closely with the key stakeholders in both Commercial (The Academy), and Group HR (Delta), and contribute to the development of and own the delivery of Dechra’s Digital Learning strategy for the Group
  • Be a “Brand Champion” for Dechra
  • Identify and appoint suitable external Digital agencies and suppliers and act as the principle contact
  • Identify potential training opportunities across the business and provide suitable training solutions, including digital learning, third-party providers, coaching and face-to-face
  • Review requests for Digital Learning developments critically evaluating business cases and prioritising appropriately
  • Manage the Digital Learning budget
  • Support the Dechra business with ad hoc queries and provide guidance on potential solutions
  • Maintain awareness of advances and scope-out potential innovations and suggestions within the Learning and Development industry and implement suitable team and process improvements
  • Ensure that all digital asset developments follow the corporate branding guidelines and enhance the corporate brand
  • Promote, train and support the effective use of Digital Learning, data and insights within the business
  • Review feedback reports and identify remedial actions and implement solutions to ensure that learners and business needs and expectations are met
  • Participate as a member of the Group Marketing Leadership Team to develop and enhance digital marketing and communications capability across the business
  • Provide input for a monthly update report for Group Marketing with details on project progress and positive and negative performance versus KPIs
  • Manage and administer the Learning Management System (LMS), supporting all users across the Dechra Group and our external customers

About You

  • Proficient knowledge of eLearning authoring tools including Articulate 360
  • Experience of using and administering LMS platforms such as Moodle, Totara or Docebo
  • Experienced with the Training Cycle and ADDIE models
  • Experienced at visual design including graphics, infographics, posters and image alteration/editing
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (inc. Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Experience of managing a team of people is desirable
  • Experience of working in an agile environment and within a matrix organisation
  • Some experience of gamification of learning and the latest virtual learning practices
  • Background of audio/video editing software such as Camtasia and Adobe CC
  • L&D qualification including TAP or CIPD
