Digital Marketing Lead

The Opportunity 

The Digital Marketing Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive digital channel strategies with a strong emphasis on SEO. This role will support the business by introducing best practices and ensuring the correct execution of campaigns, working closely with the wider global digital marketing team. The Digital Marketing Specialist will report into this role

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital channel strategies: Lead the creation and implementation of strategies across various digital channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing, aligned with business objectives and a global-first mindset. 
  • SEO Strategy Development: Own the development and execution of SEO strategies to optimise new and existing content, increase website traffic, and improve search engine performance. 
  • Best Practices Introduction: Introduce and maintain digital marketing best practices across all channels, ensuring the organisation is up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies. 
  • Campaign Support and Guidance: Support regional and local marketing teams in executing campaigns, ensuring they follow strategic guidelines and best practices. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Data and Analytics team to analyse digital marketing performance, derive insights, and provide recommendations to improve effectiveness. 
  • Training and Education: Conduct regular training sessions and workshops for stakeholders across the business on digital marketing principles, channel-specific strategies, and best practices. 
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Analyse and report on the performance of digital marketing activities using tools such as Google Analytics and other relevant platforms. Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders. 
  • Content Collaboration: Collaborate with the digital communications team and brand managers to ensure the production of SEO-friendly and channel-optimised content. 
  • Website Optimisation: Work with the web development team to ensure all websites are optimised for SEO, user experience, and performance across all digital channels. 
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats in the digital landscape, providing actionable insights to the business. 
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all digital asset developments follow corporate branding guidelines and enhance the corporate brand. 
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with key stakeholders across the business to align digital strategies with business goals and ensure buy-in.
  • Responsible for own personal health & safety.

Essential

  • Passion for digital and online media
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Ability to demonstrate a methodical, organised and flexible approach to work on your own initiative with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly creative with an analytically and conceptually strong mind-set
  • Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Literate with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to speak and understand English language
  • Must have a good grounding in HTML and CSS
  • Experience of web development, web design
  • Experience using Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics & Google Data Studio
  • Experience using 3rd party SEO software suites – e.g. Brightedge
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems both front and backend
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design
  • Good understanding of UX principles
  • Evidence of a desire to keep up to date with the latest, and emerging, advances in technologies that apply to or support the role
  • Expertise and experience in digital marketing and in-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels
  • Computer literate with experience of automated data processing and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (inc. Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a global organisation
  • Experience in video production is an advantage
  • Experience in using design software, including Adobe CC, would be an advantage
