So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

• occupational health and safety organization for all organizational units in GENERA d.d.
• personnel management and performance management of subordinates
• cooperation with external service providers in the field of occupational safety
• professional assistance to authorized persons, workers and workers' commissioners for safety at work in the implementation and improvement of safety at work
• participation in the risk assessment process
• internal supervision over the application of occupational health and safety rules, and encouraging and advising the employer and his authorized representatives to eliminate deficiencies in occupational safety determined by internal supervision
• collecting and analyzing data related to accidents, injuries at work, occupational diseases and work-related diseases
• cooperation with the bodies responsible for labor inspection, the institute responsible for health and safety at work, the institute for the improvement of occupational safety and the specialist in occupational medicine
• training workers, employers and authorized persons to work in a safe manner
• training workers' commissioners for protection at work and assisting them in their work
• professional training in occupational safety according to the description of individual jobs and risk assessment
• keeping proper records in the field of occupational safety
• monitoring of legal regulations and assistance to the employer in applying them in the field of occupational safety
• structure and organization of the proper disposal of waste generated at the location of GENERA d.d.
• person responsible for waste management
• commissioner for waste management
• assistance to managers from other organizational units in dealing with waste generated in their scope of work
• cooperation with authorities responsible for environmental, water and air protection inspections
• proper storage of documentation (ONTO forms, accompanying waste sheets) about waste (storage period 5 years)
• applications to the register of environmental polluters
• creation of a waste management plan (every 5 years)
• organization of testing of emissions from stationary sources
• organization of wastewater testing and delivery of reports on the required forms to Hrvatske vode
• cooperation with external service providers in the field of environmental protection
• monitoring of legal regulations and assistance to the employer in applying them in the areas of environmental protection, waste management, air and water
• cooperation with the employer during the design, construction and reconstruction of buildings intended for work, procurement of work equipment and other means of work, personal protective equipment and dangerous chemicals
• participation in the application of international certification standards for the management of occupational safety, quality, risks, social responsibility in business
• participation in the occupational safety committee
• planning costs in the field of occupational health and safety in the annual plan of overhead costs per MT
• cooperation with the employer regarding the reduction of waste generation at the location
• planning costs in the field of environmental protection on the annual plan of overhead costs
