Engineering Maintenance Planner

The Opportunity
The site engineering Maintenance Planner is a technically skilled position responsible for planning day to day maintenance of work orders and preventative maintenance tasks across the site.  As part of this planning, consideration must be given to staffing levels, changeovers, planned downtime, parts availability, tools and training to ensure the plans are attainable and executed. 

Role Responsibility

  • Collaborate with maintenance engineers to understand work orders or tasks, ensuring they have the resources needed (e.g., spare parts, tools) to complete their work effectively.
  • Plan and coordinate external contractor maintenance using a Permit to Work system, ensuring minimal impact on production schedules.
  • Manage monthly engineering budgets, ensuring expenditures align with the planned costs while tracking and reporting any variances.
  • Organize contractor activities and manage service contracts, ensuring these are effectively scheduled, monitored, and aligned with operational requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for site-wide calibration and compliance, ensuring documentation is always audit-ready for inspections.
  • Manage purchase orders and invoices, ensuring all financial commitments are tracked and settled within the correct reporting period.
  • Understand production schedules, working closely with teams to minimize maintenance impact on production and align tasks with planned downtime.
