Equine Field Support Manager - 15 Hours Per Week

The Opportunity 

To provide professional, veterinary support to the Farm and Equine Sales team and our customers relating to our Equine product portfolio.  To act as a trusted veterinary advisor for technical Equine enquiries and present technical information to key customers and Dechra colleagues.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Supporting the UK market with technical input to help achieve budgeted Equine sales
  • Delivering the central therapy area strategy locally
  • Providing technical support to the central and local marketing teams to ensure that strategy, tactics and marketing materials are relevant, technically accurate, and address market requirements;
  • Maintain regular contact with the market to understand technical needs
  • Providing technical and business support to key customers in the UK
  • Present technical information to key customers and universities
  • Provide technical support at congresses, exhibitions and CPD events
  • Liaising and maintaining regular contact with relevant Key Opinion Leaders and internal and external stakeholders
  • Handling technical enquiries in a timely, efficient, knowledgeable, documented, industry compliant and courteous manner to provide an excellent level of internal and external technical service
  • Providing input into internal IT systems containing technical information to ensure the systems are up-to-date, accurate, organised and data can be conveniently extracted
  • Providing technical training and developing modules on therapy areas, existing Dechra products, new products, or new indications to ensure that Dechra staff and customers have sound product understanding
  • Supporting project teams by providing relevant technical information during the development phase of new products
  • Providing professional, in-field support to the Farm and Equine Sales team and our customers relating to our Equine product portfolio

The Ideal Candidate

  • Current relevant working experience in Equine practice or the Equine Animal Health Industry
  • Ability to develop key and beneficial relationships with stakeholders

  • Ability to structure and organize effectively and deliver to deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in Equine Medicine
  • Willingness to travel in both UK and Europe 
  • Ability to work Monday and Thursday
