The Opportunity 

As part of the engineering team, support maintenance of the facilities within the site, focusing on non-process related equipment and infrastructure.

To take responsibility for the equipment used and ensure all aspects of work, and cleaning after a task, are carried out to a high standard, in line with associated documentation and GMP procedures.

To ensure all activities undertaken are within the set Health and Safety guidelines.

Role Responsibility

The Challenge

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and comply with their individual responsibilities to GMP.
• Attend and comply with any planned in house training or on the job training.
• To ensure the efficient and safe use of plant and equipment.
• To ensure all equipment is clean and maintained in good working order and where deficiencies are found informing the Packing Manager or Supervisors of any faults.
• Maintain the highest standards of Housekeeping, Cleanliness and Personal hygiene within the department.
• Support the engineering team in order to achieve KPI's in areas such as Safety, People, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• To notify a Manager or Supervisor, as a matter of urgency, if there has been any serious failure of safety or GMP which could affect staff safety or product quality.
• Any other reasonable request made by a senior member of staff (providing they are suitably  trained).
• Adherence to production schedule
• Maintaining GMP and Health & Safety at all times ensuring the close out of hazards and risk assessments in a timely manner.

Experience of facility maintenance work.

Ability to communicate effectively with both peers and other members of staff from all areas of the business.

Knowledge of cGMP environments is a benefit.
