The Opportunity
As Group HR Administrator, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the HR shared services operations to ensure the efficient delivery of HR services to employees, leveraging technology and streamlining processes. Our HR Shared Services Administrators are integral to the efficient functioning of our HR operations, ensuring our employees receive consistent and high-quality HR support. This role demands a blend of technical, interpersonal, and organisational skills to manage and improve HR service delivery effectively.
Role Responsibility
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
- Identify opportunities for improving HR administration processes by working in partnership with the wider HR and operational teams.
- Manage UK employee lifecycle process documentation adhering to legislation and in line with requirements for loading to Oracle Fusion (global HRIS, known internally as Diamond).
- Be the first point of contact for employee queries in relation to HR policies, benefits, payroll, and other HR-related topics.
- Identify opportunities for improving HR service delivery.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage the HR Shared Services inbox daily.
- Support the drafting and delivery of policy, benefits, and procedural messaging to employees as appropriate.
- Deliver a Dechra HR information session to new employees’ during their first weeks of employment.
- Ensure the security matrix and access for the global HR team in relation to global employee records is kept up-to-date and maintained adhering to data protection legislation.
- Responsible for inputting employee data changes within Oracle Fusion and ADP Celergo (global payroll), ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Work with the Group Compliance Team to keep HR ROPA updated.
- Work with Finance to ensure accurate processing of payroll each month.
- Ensure the UK Group SIPP online platform is kept up to date with pension changes and new employee details for those being auto-enrolled.
- Ensure auto-enrolment correspondence is issued to UK employees in a timely manner.
- Monitor holiday accruals and work with managers to ensure compliance to company processes and procedures.
- Work with managers to inform of service anniversary dates, probationary review periods, fixed term contract periods, visas, and the expiration of these.
- Work with the Digital Learning team for the onboarding training for new employees.
- Work with the Digital Marketing team to ensure intranet is kept up-to-date for employees, such as onboarding documents, wellbeing communications, benefit details, and points of contact.
- Manage the third party benefits correspondence and ensure accurate set up of benefits for new employees where applicable.
- Work with Group Finance to send P11D data for UK employees on an annual basis.
- Support the rollout of key HR annual cycles such as pay review, performance review, engagement survey.
- Maintain databases, reports and records as agreed with the wider HR team.
- Responsible for own personal health and safety.

- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to process and analyse data quickly and effectively
- Ability to manage own workload, meet deadlines and remain focussed with long term deliverables

- Solid understanding of MS Office
- Be a self-starter with resilience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders internal and external to Dechra
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to ensure remote teams remain on track to achieving tight deadlines and key milestones
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in HRIS and data management tools
- Experience of assessing and streamlining system related HR processes and procedures
- Experience in training users online, face to face and preparing training material
- Knowledge of HR processes and best practices
- Some domestic travel may be required
Desirable
- Project management qualification, and / or Data Analysis Qualification
- CIPD qualified
- Educated to degree level
- Experience of working in a manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical Company
- Previous experience of working in a shared service centre environment with exposure to wide array of HR activities
- Previous international HR exposure
- Experience of Oracle HRIS and ADP payroll strongly preferred
- Additional language skills (verbal and written) with a preference for Polish, Italian and/or Dutch
