The Opportunity 

The role primarily supports the Group Treasurer to manage all aspects of the Group’s cash and debt management and covers external cash and debt at both the Head Office and all Group subsidiary companies, control and maintenance of relationships with banks, internal intercompany cash and debt transactions, FX transactions, control of Group credit cards and travel/expenses systems, and the operation and maintenance of the IT systems associated with each of these aspects of the position.

Role Responsibility

The Challenge

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Daily reconciliation and reporting of Treasury bank accounts and subsidiary intercompany accounts;
  • Control and administration of Treasury Management System (Salmon Treasurer software);
  • Maintenance and control of bank account documentation and on-line banking systems controls;
  • Control and administration of on-line intercompany Netting system (CoProcess);
  • Control and administration of the on-line credit card systems;
  • Control and administration of the Group Travel and Expenses system (Concur);
  • Provision of periodic reporting to various Group Finance and Subsidiary company functions.
  • Daily reconciliation and reporting of Treasury bank accounts and subsidiary intercompany accounts;
  • Maintain and update working knowledge of banking systems and regulations;
  • Develop a strong relationship with subsidiary companies, including understanding business practices, supporting cash/debt requirements and delivering intercompany reporting requirements;
  • Ongoing evidence of performance improvements and efficiencies through increased throughput and improvements in ways of working.
  • Effective working relationships within the Group Finance team and share best practices within Dechra organisation.

  • Good  IT systems skills, particularly in Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, positive and pro-active in all aspects of the role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of TMS, CoProcess, Concur or similar systems would be an advantage
  • ‘A’ levels (or equivalent) in relevant disciplines, with completion of/progress towards further professional qualifications
  • ACIB and/or ACT qualified is desirable but not essential 
  • Experience within a Bank/Corporate Treasury environment
