Role Responsibility

Supervise Payroll Specialist (40%)

• Reviews all payroll runs preparing accounting transactions and documents to be posted to the GL
• Responsible for and Improves payroll processes focusing on automation, accuracy and efficiency for multiple entities, across multiple states in US and Canada
• Adheres to payroll policies and procedures and compliance with relevant law
• Reviews/supports the filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports by payroll company
• Provides payroll reports for renewal of workers compensation insurance and subsequent audits
• Follows up on mailing notices from Federal and State Agencies for resolution
• Serves as back-up in the processing payroll
• Calculates monthly accruals for bonus, payroll and PTO for US and Canada entities
• Provides payroll portion of budgets for US and Canada entities
• Reviews annual reporting for US and Canada entities (W-2’s, T-4’s, RL-1, etc.)

Supervise Accounts Payable (30%)

• Oversees accounts payable and invoice receipting process for multiple entities in the US and Canada
• Reviews and back up approver for payments of invoices via Wire, ACH or check
• Enters and ensures all payments are processed through banking system and investigates returns
• Process 1099s as necessary
• Approves the release of blocked invoices for payment
• Ensure vendor statements are reconciled
• Minds the Purchase Order process for US and Canada entities, knowledge of Purchase Price Variance Reporting and Invoice Price Variance Reporting.
• Oversees the set up new customers/suppliers in Oracle
• Monitor and report against KPIs

Shared Services – Dechra Development LLC (30%)

• Enter Journal Entries for Credit Card / Personal Card Enter from Concur Reporting
• Month End
• Generate and validating expense accrual
• Enter journal entries for project accruals
• Roll forward the prepaid account
• Book Depreciation
• Account Reconciliations
• Baseline Controls
• Reconcile Bank Account
• Prepare Recharges
• Closing Processes
• Run All Journal Report before and after the close process

The Ideal Candidate

• Excellent proficiency in payroll system - ADP Workforce Now
• Knowledgeable of State and Federal legislative requirements related to payroll practices
• Trustworthy in handling confidential information
• Oracle/SAP Business by Design proficiency is highly desired, or similar ERP system experience
• Accounting (booking journal entries) and Purchase Order System knowledge required
• Supervisory Experience
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Advanced Excel skills required
• A minimum 4 year Accounting degree desired or comparable experience
