The Opportunity 

Dechra is an international specialist veterinary pharmaceuticals products business. Our expertise is in the development, manufacture, and sales and marketing of high quality products exclusively for veterinarians worldwide. 

The Project Manager will assist in the management of Dechra’s Manufacturing and Supply Chain Division’s projects. They will work on multiple concurrent projects with international project teams and will be interested in helping wherever expertise allows. The Project Manager will be self-motivated, organized, detail oriented with a commitment to ensuring projects are completed according to the agreed plan. They will work closely with Project Leaders and team members across functions to update timelines and tasks in Microsoft Project on a monthly basis and support teams in understanding critical path, managing risks, ensure project management documents are up to date, and assist in Portfolio level reporting.  

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • To support the PMO Head in the development and implementation of project portfolio activities that align with the divisional strategic goals:

  • Provide administrative support to the Divisional PMO Head, ensuring the timely and accurate maintenance of records.
  • Tracking progress status for individual workstreams within projects as directed by PMO Head, including milestones, actions, KPIs.
  • Provide direct support for selected projects/programmes including, but not limited to, co-ordination of meetings, capturing meeting minutes, consolidating actions and reminder notifications.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of the Divisional file sharing sites, Project Libraries, and PMO templates  
  • Support the preparation, collation, and distribution of regular reports as directed.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to collect, collate and analyse KPI data for the production of monthly and weekly performance reports.

 

  • Key Performance Indicators

  • Quality and timely delivery of activities according to project scope, divisional and cross-divisional measure
  • Maintenance of accurate PMO logs/records
  • Achieve Group Manufacturing objectives in terms of quality, safety, cost and service

  • Project Server / Project Online
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills (written & oral) and be adaptable
  • Knowledge of project management in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Detail oriented, able to research and analyse key information     
  • Microsoft Project
  • Excellent MS Office skills and an ability to pick up new systems & software           
  • Proficiency in English essential
