The Opportunity 

To undertake sampling activities for raw materials and packaging components etc, for the purposes of Quality Control analysis to confirm the suitability of those materials for use in GMP manufacture.

Role Responsibility

The Challenge

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Perform basic quality / integrity checks on the packaging for inbound goods.
  • In accordance with approved sampling instructions and procedures, obtain representative samples of:
    • Inbound raw materials
    • Inbound packaging components
    • Purified Water, as required
  • Ensure sample quantities are reconciled against the original batch quantities.
  • Perform Quality Control identification testing on inbound packaging components.
  • Verify that materials are located / stored in line with their requirements.
  • Undertake stock labelling activities.
  • Maintain stocks of local consumables.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of all records relating to processes and equipment operation.
  • Initiate and support the compilation of local Deviation reports, Change Controls, CAPAs and SOPs.
  • Highlight anomalies with specifications, SOPs, test methods, etc. ensuring all work is completed correctly and compliantly.
  • Undertake continuous improvement projects such as leading the introduction of Raman spectroscopy into the sampling/material acceptance process to decrease H&S risks and increase rate of release for ID tests.

  • Ideally, A-Levels / BTEC (or equivalent) in a scientific subject.
