Here at Dechra, we have an exciting opening for an enthusiastic and ambitious Regional Business Manager to lead, manage and motivate a successful team of field based Territory Sales Managers in the UK, selling a range of market leading pharmaceutical products for Equine and Farm Animal portfolios.

This role can be done remotely with travel throughout the UK.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Ensure profitable growth and deliver sales plan within the region through effective management of the sales team and delivery of Key Performance Indicators, in line with business strategy and the company’s overall commercial objectives
  • Implement Field Force Effectiveness strategies and regional sales activities to maximize sales revenue in line with targets and objectives, optimizing margin, aligned with Sales, Marketing & Technical plans
  • Effectively lead, coach and manage direct reports, Territory Sales Managers, at Regional Meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, and regular Field Visits (minimum 2 days per TSM per month) to support delivery and implementation of campaigns, business initiatives and selling skills aligned with a high performing sales team culture (HPT)
  • Identify and support team training needs and personal development objectives aligned with Talent Review and Performance Development Review frameworks
  • Maximise team contact, coverage and reach with customers through effective business planning strategies, targeting and customer segmentation strategies
  • Effectively manage internal relationships across the business, including sales management, key account management, technical and marketing functions to ensure good communication of sales strategy and tactics within each therapy area
  • Manage and effectively coach the team to deliver Key Performance Indicators, and work collaboratively with all customer groups to ensure business solutions are delivered that meet and exceed customers’ expectations

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous sales management team/leadership experience essential
  • Proven experience as a strategic sales manager with coaching, mentoring, motivational and problem solving skills    
  • Commercial experience and providing solutions based on customer needs
  • Knowledge of Animal Health industry desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills and efficient working style, adapt and re-calibrate in fast-paced business environment
  • Self-motivated and ability to work under own initiative and team player
