The Opportunity 

Dechra is an international specialist veterinary pharmaceuticals products business. Our expertise is in the development, manufacture, and sales and marketing of high quality products exclusively for veterinarians worldwide. 

The Oracle applications team provide functional and technical support and lead a program of continuous  changes supporting multiple Oracle applications across the globe, the team is looking to expand to support various initiatives across Dechra and is looking for an experienced Oracle Finance functional consultant to join the team.

Role Responsibility

The Challenge

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

• Emphasis on delivery and maintenance of high quality business processes utilising the core Oracle Financials modules and other oracle certified products:

• Payables
• Receivables
• Cash Management
• General Ledger
• Sub Ledger Accounting 
• Fixed Assets

• Work closely with the business SMEs and stakeholders and support them in the decisions and development of solutions and process improvements.
• Support and change actives including application configuration, demonstrations, documentation, testing, report development, training, data migration, knowledge transfer, production go-live, ongoing support.
• Design solutions to meet complex business challenges.
• A key emphasis is on implementing solutions that make a difference by ensuring the delivery of quantifiable benefits to the business.

• Experience working in a IT role supporting infrastructure and business solutions
• Experience managing projects and producing relevant documentation
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task and deliver under pressure
• Highly developed knowledge of a broad range of technologies and their applications

• Detailed knowledge of Finance modules: AP, AR, CM, GL, FA, SLA, & TAX
• Mandatory to have solid interpersonal skills and be adaptable
• Excellent computer skills (O365/ Teams) and an ability to pick up new systems & software as required
• Demonstrate strong analytical & organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
• Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality with regard to information being processed stored or accessed by the network. 
• Effectively execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Cross cultural working with groups with varying language
• Must be a team player with flexibility to get any tasks completed
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oracle Financials Applications
• Degree (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
