The Opportunity 

The Site Accountant will complete key activities to ensure effective  production of the monthly reporting processes. As a key member of the finance team, your key site focus is on Melbourne and this role leads and supports accurate forecasting, annual budgeting and strategic planning processes.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis, in line with Dechra Group Finance policy and guidelines, ensuring information is accurate, delivered on time, and updated in all financial systems.
  • Assist and support in the preparation of the budget, forecasts and strategic plan activities such as database update and manipulation, financial systems uploads and power point executive packs
  • Implement and maintain new reporting and financial control processes as well as provide and maintain documentation for internal and external Auditors
  • Key on-site member to support implementation team of Oracle cloud schedule for late next year
  • Deputize for the Finance Business Partner in his absence, acting as key contact to DPM&S Finance department providing commentary and insight on the business performance., for the Melbourne site
  • Provide input for the statutory financial statements.
  • Prepare and follow up on transfer pricing issues and calculation of new cost prices and room rates. Updating the cost prices.
  • Challenge and support the Finance Business Partner in order to enhance the business and improve management results.
  • Monitor inventory levels and generating appropriate actions to avoid inventory loss and write-off
  • Reporting accurate data to Group system (HFM/Hyperion) on time, in full.
  • Identifying and working on initiatives that improve cost control and/or increase efficiency.
  • Participating in special and ad hoc projects to support management analysis and provide ad-hoc quality support to the Controller DPM & S.
  • Oversee the Perpetual Inventory count process.

  • Valued as a key member of the finance team preparing and maintaining all accounting information, documentation, and financial systems for Melbourne, Florida .
  • To provide an accurate service working within accounting practices and part of the finance team.

  • Achieve KPI’s.
  • To operate within the finance, quality and other appropriate systems, guidance and compliance requirements

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent working experience

A formal Finance or Accountancy qualification (preferable)

A minimum of 5-10 years experience in accounting.

 

 

Knowledge and Experience

Additional 

 

  • Experience with financial reporting requirements
  • Solid experience with accounting software, data manipulation and MS Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to work independently
  • Pharmaceuticals manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks and HFM/Hyperion would be a distinct advantage
