The Opportunity 

The Sr. Manager of Sales Training is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive sales training strategy that aligns with organizational goals. This role focuses on creating engaging training programs and providing leadership to ensure the sales team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to achieve revenue targets. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in identifying training needs and strategies for meeting organizational goals, managing training teams, and collaborating with internal and external curriculum development partners.  This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the development of a high-performing sales organization and contribute to the company’s growth and success.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

Training Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a scalable sales training strategy that supports business objectives.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics to identify training needs and areas for improvement.

Curriculum Design:

  • Design and deliver engaging, results-driven sales training programs tailored to various roles and levels within the sales team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external curriculum development partners to develop in-person workshops, and hybrid training solutions.
  • Regularly update training materials to reflect industry trends, company products/services, and evolving sales techniques.

Program Delivery:

  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and onboarding programs for sales professionals and leaders.
  • Collaborate with regional managers and department heads to deliver customized training sessions.

Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor sales trainers, direct and/or indirect.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the sales organization.

Evaluation and Reporting:

  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and key performance metrics.
  • Provide reports and recommendations to the senior leadership team on training impact and ROI.

Collaboration:

  • Partner with veterinary medical affairs, marketing, and sales management to ensure alignment between training content and business strategies.
  • Engage with external vendors, consultants, and HR to enhance training initiatives when necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales training, including the support of transformation growth initiatives
  • Prove track record in creating and delivering sales training programs that drive performance
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess needs and measure training effectiveness
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in tools like LMS platforms and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) a plus
