The Opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity for a current Undergraduate student to join our growing global family of colleagues on 1 year Commercial placement, responsible for supporting the Veterinary Technical Services, Business Services, Sales and Marketing functions. 

This is an exceptional opportunity for the successful candidate to gain invaluable hands on experience in a global, FTSE100 Pharmaceutical organisation, with varied exposure across our commercial and technical services functions. 

The position is based out of our picturesque offices in Shrewsbury, but will also involve some hybrid and remote working. 

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Receive and respond to all incoming technical product enquiries in an industry compliant and courteous manner to provide an excellent level of technical customer service
  • Send out literature / documents as per requests from the Veterinary Technical Advisors
  • Forward cases to Central Pharmacovigilance (C-PhV) team for assessment, once complete, in a timely manner, respecting appropriate deadlines for Serious and Periodic cases and for cases involving ‘in-licensed’ products
  • Liaise with the C-PhV team regarding any questions that may have arisen for from enquiries submitted.
  • Provide follow up support for all Suspected Adverse Reaction (SAR) / Suspected Lack of Expected Efficacy (SLEE) cases received
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of internal IT systems including technical server, Pharma Technical Database and PV Works to ensure that systems are up-to-date, accurate and organised, and that data can be easily extracted
  • Provide support to ‘Salesforce’ Customer Relationship Management System projects
  • Run sales reports and manipulate data in the imap and Targit databases.
  • Produce and update Sales support collateral e.g. offer forms, product overviews, price lists.
  • Assist with specific Sales projects, e.g. contacting customers on a defined list to advise of new products available, current offers, availability of support materials, product rebates
  • Compile Monthly Reports from contributions submitted by Sales team and forward to Business Managers for review
  • Facilitating successful running of CPD events by providing pre- and post-event support as well as attending some events in person for ‘on the ground’ support
  • Completion of ad-hoc administration tasks and project work
  • Work closely and collaboratively with internal and external customers to ensure acceptable solutions are delivered that meet / exceed customer expectations

  • A current undergraduate student studying a related discipline such as Business, Veterinary Bioscience etc
  • Experience of working in a proactive way and using initiative
  • Good verbal and numerical skills  
  • Skilled using MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic and inquisitive
