Digital Marketing Specialist

The Opportunity 

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the SEO strategy, implementing and maintaining our new website and CMS, and aiding the data analyst with GA4 insights. Responsibilities include optimising website content for search engines, conducting keyword research, monitoring website performance metrics and supporting the wider organisation on digital campaign activity. Additionally, you will collaborate with the UX team on new initiatives to ensure digital assets align with user needs and preferences, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and user-centric design.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

Supporting SEO Strategy

  • Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for organic traffic growth.
  • Optimise website content, metadata, and structure to improve search engine rankings.
  • Assist in developing and implementing on-page and off-page SEO tactics.

 

Implementing New Website and CMS

  • Collaborate with web developers and UX designers to implement a new website and content management system (CMS).
  • Ensure the website design and structure adhere to SEO best practices.
  • Support in migrating content and ensuring proper functionality of the new CMS.

 

Assisting Data Analyst with GA4

  • Help configure and maintain Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for tracking website performance and user behaviour.
  • Generate regular reports on website traffic, user engagement, and conversion metrics.
  • Assist in analysing data to uncover insights and opportunities for optimisation.

 

UX Initiatives

  • Participate in user experience (UX) research and testing activities to understand user behaviour and preferences.
  • Provide input on website design and functionality to enhance the user experience.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to ensure digital assets align with user needs and best practices.

General

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all digital asset developments follow the Corporate branding guidelines and enhance the Corporate brand.
  • Responsible for own personal health & safety.

  • Expertise and experience in digital marketing and in-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels
  • Computer literate with experience of automated data processing and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (inc. Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Experience of using Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Understanding of Google Analytics or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working with marketing communications
