The Opportunity 

The Equipment Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on all equipment and facilities.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Performs preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on all equipment and facilities.
  • Responsible for initial equipment inspection and conducts basic repairs in accordance with cGMP requirements, equipment manuals and operating procedures.
  • Plans and schedules visits by external technicians for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Provides support to production operations in classified cleanrooms.
  • Performs preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
  • Performs maintenance and repair on compressors, boilers, chillers, and water purification systems.
  • Submits written reports for the performed maintenance and/or equipment repair work.
  • Responsible for documenting all the troubleshooting/repair activities following the current procedures.
  • Complies with the company policies and all safety requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of 2 years practical experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery in a pharmaceutical or medical industry.
  • Excellent understanding of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Experience with repair of filling and packaging equipment.
  • Experience working on equipment in classified cleanrooms.
  • Ability to understand basic electrical and pneumatic controls used in filling and packing equipment.
  • Experience documenting repairs and maintenance work in accordance with the cGMP requirements.
  • Ability to adhere to cGMP gowning requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of basic safety policies and procedures in a manufacturing environment, including gowning and PPE requirements.

Must be available to work on weekends and overtime as needed
