FP&A Analyst

**This role can be performed on a hybrid basis, with a mix of working from home combined with 2-3 days per week collaborating with the team in our office in Den Bosch **
 
Position Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, tenacious, resourceful and data/systems savvy FP&A Analyst to take on owning and help optimizing our financial models, technologies, processes and data streams, performing variance analysis and (ad-hoc) reporting.

The DVP EU FP&A team drives the divisional forecast, bottom-up annual budgeting and strategic planning processes as well as delivering operating plan variance / gap analysis and assisting on ad-hoc / special projects.

 Main Responsibilities, as our FP&A Analyst you will:
  • Prepare and synthesize the groundwork for monthly financial and business performance results reporting to senior management;
    1. Prepare and assist in the development and issuance of periodically and ad-hoc financial information gathering process and reporting package (reconciling and interpreting complex financial data);
    2. System controls: Responsibilities include stabilizing data integrity and feed (e.g. Hyperion, HFM and Targit BI);
    3. Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances;
    4. Communicate findings in a timely matter within the FP&A team and other stakeholders;
  • Support FP&A Manager in leading the DVP EU annual planning, re-forecasting and long-term strategic planning models;
  • Provide accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting and key business metrics and dig into results to find insightful trends or anomalies;
  • Critical interaction: Liaise with HQ and DVP EU Finance on ad hoc reporting requests and system requirements;
  • Process optimization: Take an active role in developing efficiency and streamlining of reporting and business analytics and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Support FP&A Manager in leading / directing the FP&A Transformation to a future (desired) state (ao.):
    1. Budget optimization (speed and relevance)
    2. More efficient and agile planning, build resilience (leveraging S&OP / Demand Forecast)
    3. Optimally leverage data and technology (simplicity)
    4. Integrated (forward looking) Reporting
  • Lead Ad-hoc reporting/research and identify best practices;
  • Influence others, insist on the highest standards, and challenge the status quo;
 
The Ideal Candidate

  • A higher education or Bachelor degree within the area of Finance
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience, preferably in an international environment
  • Interest in clever solutions to crunch and manipulate large amounts of data and capable of presenting in a meaningful way
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Essbase and Oracle Cloud EPM and Excel 
  • Strong affinity with BI
  • Moderate Accounting knowledge
  • Impressive attention to detail and accuracy while keeping the big picture
  • Ability to structure and organize effectively and deliver to deadlines
  • Passion for process improvement and challenging the status quo
  • Inquisitive / Intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Fluency in written and verbal Dutch is highly desirable
