The Opportunity 

  • To support the Marketing team by providing business partnering, delivering reporting (sales & margin, P&L) & providing departmental monthly finance submissions.
  • Proactively provide full financial support for Enabling Functions (IT, HR and Finance) and provide support to sector heads in the SG&A area.
  • To support on commercial ad hoc projects within the European team, such as KPI dashboards, pricing analytics, marketing campaign evaluation or modelling.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • By being a member of the Marketing Lead Team you’re the connection between the Finance and Marketing departments.
  • Provide proactive finance support to the stakeholders by delivering insightful analysis and reports and by assisting with preparation for meetings or workshops.
  • Guide and support senior management in submission of monthly management accounts information and commentary in accordance with EU and Group timetables.
  • Produce consolidated monthly sales analysis on therapy area and product performance and present back to the central team.
  • Manage month-end closing process for the corporate marketing departments and other enabling functions (IT, HR, Finance).
  • Management of (cost) budget and reforecast preparation and monitoring for the central marketing departments and enabling functions.
  • Deliver insights in marketing campaign evaluation (return-on-investment)
  • Support on commercial ad hoc projects within the European team in the field of KPI dashboards, marketing campaign evaluation or business case modelling.
  • Proactively optimize and improve processes to increase effectiveness of the team.

  • Presenting complex material in a clear, easy and convincing manner
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a self-starter with resilience
  • Willingness to travel (10% - 20%)


  • Experience with financial planning tools like Hyperion or others
  • Experience with business intelligence tools like Targit or others
