The Opportunity 

The Finance Business Partner actively helps improve the performance of the business and provides full business finance support to the leaders and the senior management team who have P&L / cost center responsibility for the Uldum site and the Global Supply Chain leadership team.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Execute financial planning and analysis processes including forecast and budget processes for the Uldum site
  • Provide insight and analysis on business performance including efficiency measures, inventory, logistics and working capital improvement
  • Develop, monitor and challenge monthly KPI’s for performance to drive efficiencies and the effectiveness of the site with a continuous improvements mindset
  • Own month-end closing process for the site, including accountability for the sites P&L and Balance Sheet including, but not limited to, Working Capital and inventory holding. Ensure financial information is prepared in line with Dechra’s Finance policies and controls framework 
  • Financial sparring partner to the Uldum Site Director and senior management team acting as the key link between the business and finance, challenging and tracking the team’s productivity and performance improvements
  • Support business case development and analytics for improvements, investments and projects
  • Provide financial support and challenge to the Global Supply Chain and Procurement Director and his leadership team. Act as the financial business partner to the team and provide guidance, insight, support and challenge on all financial, internal control and governance matters
  • Interface with the Global S&OP and logistics processes to identify, implement and support the optimization of supply and demand planning across DVP and DPMS
  • Co-ordinate the agreement of demand and supply volumes to enable the DPMS global internal manufacturing sites to build forecasts and strategic plans that are built on robust and realistic forecasts, with cross divisional agreement
  • Working with the Procurement Director, own and deliver raw material inflation assumptions across DPMS for budgeting and strategic planning purposes
  • Challenge and support PPV assumptions and targets; monitor the delivery of targets providing relevant insight of performance
  • Provide financial support and challenge for capital investment cases; business partner the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of investment with appropriate rigour in governance and control. 
  • Proactively advises and challenges the business and support the delivery of any key business projects and initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

  • Understand key metrics that drive financial performance

  • Fluent in Danish
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills on an international level 
  • Be a self-starter with resilience 
  • Significant experience with financial analysis and reporting on KPI’s 
  • Good knowledge of English 
  • Working knowledge of multi-site ERP system (Oracle preferred) 
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical company would be beneficial but not required
  • CIMA or equivalent would be desired but not needed
