Internal Communications Specialist - Global Manufacturing

The Opportunity 

To develop, deploy and monitor a Global DM&S Communications Plan and associated activities across all sites, working closely with central comms stakeholders whilst representing DM&S to leverage existing company channels to improve speed, consistency, clarity and inclusivity of messaging to support the change agenda within the DM&S Division.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Working with key stakeholders, develop (and subsequently manage) a global communications plan for DM&S to ensure consistent delivery of key messages and information to support the achievement of strategic objectives, with particular regard to change, transformation and employee engagement.
  • Design and deliver the internal communications strategy for the division, including planning, design, delivery, measurement, and review ensuring standardisation across the division.
  • Work in partnership with HRBP’s and comms ambassadors on sites to maximise reach an effectiveness of comms initiatives.
  • Maximise the value of internal comms channels and leverage existing good practice.
  • Work closely with Group Employee Communications to ensure that the specific needs of DM&S are represented when Company communications plans are formulated, e.g., geography, culture, and particularly the needs of frontline manufacturing employees.
  • Identify and implement new initiatives to improve internal communications.
  • Play a key role in supporting DM&S change agenda through membership of appropriate project teams and by the delivery of timely and targeted communications.
  • Working with relevant stakeholders, across departments and projects, to understand communication needs and establish plan of support.
  • Develop and promote the positive branding of the sites as part of DM&S recruitment strategy to support the attraction of an increased volume of high -calibre candidates to meet future business challenge and growth requirements.
  • Create and maintain DM&S content calendar/plan for all comms channels to align communications and maximise impact of initiatives.
  • Provide comms input to DM&S HR projects/activities as required.

  • Confident and highly effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience within manufacturing environment or comparable where large numbers of employees may not have access to all modern communication channels.

  • Excellent attention to detail, planning and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage own workload, meet deadlines and remain focussed with long term deliverables.

  • Collaborative approach with ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders internal and external to Dechra.

  • Enthusiastic self-starter with resilience.

  • Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in developing online content (LMS, Intranet etc)

  • Ability to ensure remote teams remain on track to achieving tight deadlines and key milestones.

  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary change project teams.

  • Experience in Adobe Package (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

  • Experience in curating video content

  • Enthusiastic self-starter with resilience.

  • Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills.

Additional Details:

  • Occasional global travel may be required with this role
